Your Xbox has Groups

New feature today! Your Xbox now has groups.

How do they work?

  1. You have to be logged in to create groups (meaning you need an account)
  2. Go to the create groups page.
  3. Create your own group!
  4. Or go to the group list and join a group.
  5. You get all sorts of aggregate stats and a group blog with activity summary on active group members each day.

Easy as pie! That is it for now... consider this a trial run. I am already thinking of enhancements we can make to this... and of course there are APIs that will be documented... badges that will be created... leaderboards... all in good time!

Update 10:43am ET:

For those that want to know, the group blogs update right after the individual xbox blogs.

Very cool feature. I even like the new header on the main page. I hope this leads to group challenges, much like the GSL. That'd be cool.

LOVE IT can't wait for more!!!!! keep um coming!!!

As usual, another excellent feature! =)

w00t for public release, lol! ;)

I saw 'API' and I got excited. Then I saw what the post was about, and it will be awesome.

There are some really nice features to this, like if you click on the comments/permalink for an entry, you get a nice breakdown of the individual contributions to the group for the day. Or the group game list...

I've been waiting for such a feature, good job :)

Awesome news, I'll be release a press release on the Power of 360 site for the Heroes that have joined and let them know they can be added on the Group for the Power of 360 at 360Voice.Com now. Really cool news to hear.

Is there any way to edit your group after you have created it?

@VanislePimp - Yep, click on Settings in the upper right... go to Groups... edit/modify the group there.

Oh boys...interesting bug for you. Some of my girls have been getting added twice. (After only clicking once) Then, when I go to remove the double member, they are completely removed....any ideas?

Hmmm thanks Kitty. I will look into:

1. Preventing duplicates...
2. Changing the delete to run off ID instead of name so you can remove duplicates.

Both should be easy.
