New Games Page Fun
If you head over to your games settings page (login required) you will see that we added some new functionality to the page. Previously you could only mark what games you wanted to play, and the games that you owned - but we have expanded that to include games you have rented and games you have traded in as well.
Also you might notice that you can now finally cast your own vote on all the games you have played, it's a simple voting scheme; simply thumbs up or thumbs down instead of a big huge scentific formula to create some random number which indicates your level of enjoyment. What it really boils down to is you like it or you don't.
Finally the page is now sortable, so you are able to sort your game list in a number of different ways so you can find the ones you haven't rated easier, or perhaps you want to rate only your more recently played games - etc.
Once we get some data flowing with these new data elements we will be bubbling them up to the games page for the acutal game - so you can some of these stats in an overall way - such as how many people rented or traded in Avatar: TLA: TBE instead of actually buying it, and some data related to how many thumbs (up or down) a game recieves.
Finally I would like to claim victory over Fatty Chubs, as this was mentioned on the forums as a challenge of who would finish first, "Fatty's "Badges 2.0" vs Squids "Games Rating System". To be fair rating your games is a bit less involved than badges 2.0, but I will take a win anyway i can get them!
As always click the title if you wish to leave a comment - cheers!

Squid's Game Rating System, FTW!!!
(Plus, I love the new Radio Buttons.)

Cool!!!
Would also like to see a "Arcade Demo" for those arcade titles that used to show up on our gamercards.

Wow, cool update! I love the new featuers, and I can't wait for them to start showing up on the details page for each game. I have two questions, though:
1. Will this data show up in your Games List eventually?
2. The links to the details page for each game seems to be broken. It takes you to the site home page. Is this supposed to happen?

Good work squid! Looks really nice! =) Looking forward to seeing the stats on the data and, I'm assuming, this will be included in the listfav API? I certainly hope so! ;)

Also, are you aware that I can select multiple radio buttons at the moment? So I can own it, have rented it, and have traded it in...intentional?

I like the idea of being able to Rent AND Buy... that kind of says something about a game. :)

See, to me it would be the current status, rather than what you did with it? Own means you currently own it, rent means you rented it/are renting it, and traded means you did own it and traded it in.
If I rented it, then bought it, I would have it marked as rented, but change it to own, when I bought it.
Just my thoughts on it though! ;)

Can you add the option to clear a thumbs up/thumbs down? Just in case we rate something accidentally or change our minds? (or have a nuetral 'flat' hand option, like when someone picks paper in rock/paper/scissors)
(I'll xpost this to the suggestions forum in case you miss it)

I love the additions to the games page. But just one question. It would be cool to search for users that want to play a certain game. Maybe that would be an option on the actual games page? Maybe just below the block of players called "recent gamers"?
Otherwise you will have a potentially cool feature, but no practical use for it. Otherwise you have to go through blogs individually and click on their individual "want to play games" list. And you know us internet users. Too much clicking = not enough using.

Love the new games page. very nice. I think I need a "meh" option in the reviews because some games I have no opinion either way on. Happens sometimes.

I'll second Jack Burton. We need a "meh" or neutral option for those games we neither loved nor hated.
Love everything else about the new features. Keep up the great work!

Re: Meh option, ill add it to the suggestions by default if you dont give it a thumbs up or a thumbs down, I look at that as the "meh" rating, since you couldn't decided which direction to go - as change said on the forum thread mentioned above - i personally like that you either liked or didnt like the game, if its really that hard to rate it you have the option to not rate the game.

believe it or not, that is not where the buttons came from, but that might be the original source of them.
