Xbox Live maintenance tonight

As many of you have heard, Xbox Live is going down again tonight... right in the middle of our nightly data pulls. And it really hasn't been running all that hot today either... so they are definitely having some major problems. We will be working the graveyard shift once again to ensure that it has a little affect on the site as possible... no promises though. :)

Streaks will be turned off for the third day in a row though... so don't be too alarmed if you see a non-play entry in your blog. More updates as things go down... so stay tuned.

Update 11:41pm CT

Ha, looks like this is what happened with our host last night. They did fail over to the generator eventually, but they couldn't do it instantly because the infrastructure that carried power between the backup system and the primary data center was messed up in the accident... so they had to manually re-route cable to get the power back to the data center. I can only imagine the chaos...

Update Nov 13, 2007 8:45am CT

Three cheers for Fatty Chubs who has been working to make sure the data was captured from MS despite the outage. We are processing it now... hopefully blogs and challenge updates will begin appearing in the next few hours.
