A few things squeaked in this evening

Despite the outages and back-end work on the database, I did manage to squeak in a small change as well as bring back some old friends:

  1. The Bragging Rights stats are back
The stats for biggest gamer score increase, number of achievements, and longest streak are now displaying on your blog. I will be continuing to tweak how that is populated so if you notice it is a day behind, don't worry... it will be corrected. The Play Percentage is still turned off as it is not performing where I want it to be... it drags the site down... so I still need to work on it.
  2. Top 20 Most Popular list on homepage changed to monthly
We will be trying a little experiment. I built in a little spam checking so people can't boost themselves to the top of the list. There is a separate counter now for monthly views. We will reset this list at the first of every month. This should provide a little more churn. I also put a little star next to people who have blog comments enabled. You too can enable them by registering for the forum and turning them on via the "blog settings" page.
  3. New Community link on the blog page: Google them!
I found myself always Googling people's gamertags to find out more about them... so I added it to the community link. The search passes your gamertag and the word "xbox" to get the results relevant in situations where the gamertag is a common word. Check out my search then go check our your own!
  4. New Community link on the blog page: LiveEye
If you haven't heard of LiveEye, it is a service that tracks your blog data down to the minute! If you have a LiveEye profile, it will now be linked from your blog.

That's it for now!

The Google link might just increase traffic to my MySpace profile, where I tried to use "lightsup55" to make an easy to remember link, but someone already took it. I put enough into it that it should still show up in the results anyway.
