Xbox MVP Award!
Today I was awarded an Xbox MVP award for 2007 by Microsoft. For those that are not familiar the MVP status, it is where Microsoft "formally acknowledges the accomplishments of these individuals for their contributions to community". You can read about it here. I was one last year and it was a huge honor, as I highly respect the program. After meeting the other Xbox MVP's and Microsoft folks, it's even more of an honor this year to continue with the program. The group of folks that are and have been MVP's for Xbox are some very friendly, great eclectic folks.
I've said it before it before but with programs like MVP and XCDP and sites like gamerscoreblog, Microsoft has taken some great steps to reach out and work with the community. They've lifted the curtain and offered a lot of access no other console maker has come close to. If they keep building these programs and working with the community, I don't see how other companies will compete without similar efforts.

Congrats on two years in a row buddy!!!

Congrats Steve.
Not sure if you saw it, but Major Nelson posted up his top 20 posts of 2006, and the post he put up about the then xboxvoice.com (which now is 360voice.com) made the top 20 list. Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up.

Ted - yes we did see that and made a post about it! Thanks for thinking of us and leaving a comment though!
Mark - I am destined to always live in Steve's Xbox shadow.

Awesome job on getting MVP. This site (and obviously the people behind it) deserved it!
