Everyone is pretty slow getting up around here so I have been using the time to drink some coffee and tweak a few things.
First off, I added badges to the main nav. It is obvious that the badges have become a big part of our site, and even though the genre badges are currently being worked on, we plan to keep expanding them. Also to clear up some confusion, I have moved the genre games list to underneath the badges... because the genres will NEVER be a complete list of all games in the genre... otherwise this would make the badges impossible to get... so by tying them directly to the badges it gives us some more flexibility over what we include and don't include... especially when it comes to international titles.
I added a new little piece of functionality to the javascript badge. There is now a variable to open the links in a new window (badge_new_window). See the example in the above link on how to activate it.
As for the server move, I am having some problems with PHP seeing the database on our new box... so that is slowing things up. That stuff is required for the flash based gamerscore charts and game charts... so I am still working on that.
Can you believe it is Christmas eve? I plan on playing some serious Xbox today... in fact I might go slam some right now!
